2014: Appeared in 16 games out of the UALR bullpen… Pitched 34.0 innings with a 1.59 ERA, 26 strikeouts and allowed opponents to hit just .197 against him… His 1.59 ERA is the second-lowest among UALR pitchers to have thrown at least 30 innings in a season… Made his season debut with two shutout innings against Creighton in UALR’s opening day 5-1 win… Earned his first win of the season pitching 1.2 innings against SEMO as the Trojans won 1-0… Struck out three batters in 2.1 innings against Bradley on Feb. 22… Had two four-strikeout games on the year, the first against UIC on Feb. 28 as he picked up the win and the second against ULM on March 28… Had a six-appearance stretch without allowing a run that spanned 14.2 innings which included a season-long 3.2 innings performance against Troy… Got his fourth and final win of the year at WKU on April 26... Named to the Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll for achieving a grade point average of 3.0 to 3.49.
2013: Appeared in 19 games as a true freshman in 2013 … Became one of UALR’s most dependable arms on the bullpen, finishing the season with a 3.41 ERA – the lowest among UALR pitchers with at least 10 appearances … Compiled a 2-2 record on the year … Racked up 27 strikeouts over 34.1 innings pitched … Walked just 14 batters for a 1.92 strikeout-to-walk ratio … Held opposing hitters to a .230 batting average … Over his first five starts, allowed just one run on two hits in a total of 6.1 innings … Matched a season high with five strikeouts in just 2.0 innings of work against Wichita State (Feb. 28) … Struck out five and picked up his first career with against Texas-Arlington (March 12), throwing 4.0 innings of relief while surrendering no runs on one hit … Worked a perfect inning of relief in UALR’s 11-3 win over ULM (March 30) … Picked up his second win after throwing a season-high 6.0 innings of relief in a 10-6 against Western Kentucky (April 28), allowing two runs on seven hits.
High School: Finished his pitching career at Jacksonville HS with a 25-10 record ... Named the Most Valuable Player of the State title game as he helped Jacksonville to the Arkansas 6A state title in 2011 ... Was an All-Conference selection in 2011 and 2012 ... Finished his senior season with a .363 batting average.
