- The UALR tennis team has finalized its schedule for the upcoming 2012-13 fall
and spring seasons. The Trojans will participate in three fall tournaments
before playing 23 matches in the spring season, including matchups against
in-state foes Arkansas State, UCA, UAPB, UA-Fort Smith and Harding.

with the Arkansas State-hosted Red Wolves Invitational in Jonesboro, Ark., on
Nov. 2-4.
UALR travels to Tulsa, Okla., for the first two matches
of its spring season against Oral Roberts (Jan. 19) and Tulsa (Jan. 20). UCA
comes to Burns Park for the Trojans' first home match of the season on Jan. 24.
UALR then turns around and plays at UA-Fort Smith on Jan. 30 to round out its
January schedule.
Home matches against Sun Belt member Troy (Feb. 2) and
North Alabama (Feb. 9) begin the month of February for the Trojans. UALR then
goes on a seven match road swing, beginning with Washburn (Feb. 16), Rockhurst
(Feb. 17) and UMKC (Feb. 17). The Trojans play Creighton (Feb. 19) and
Nebraska-Omaha (Feb. 20) before traveling to Lincoln to play the Nebraska
Cornhuskers on Feb. 22. UALR ends its seven-match road trip with Wyoming on
Feb. 23.
The Trojans host Louisiana Tech on March 2 and the
Rebsamen Tennis Center, then travel to Pine Bluff to take on UAPB on March 8.
Three-straight road matches against Sun Belt foes include ULM (March 9),
Western Kentucky (March 16) and Middle Tennessee (March 17), while two more
road matches at Stephen F. Austin (March 23) and Houston (March 24) round out
UALR's regular season road schedule. The Trojans wrap up the regular season
with three home matches against Alcorn (April 5), Harding (April 6) and
Arkansas State (April 10) before playing in the Sun Belt Tournament in
Lafayette, La., on April 17-21.
Last year, UALR finished with a 13-13 overall record
before having its season ended by Troy in the opening round of the Sun Belt
Tournament. The 13 wins were the most by a UALR team since the 2007 season.
