UALR Trojan Baseball Camps
LITTLE
ROCK
- The UALR baseball program has announced plans to host a pair of Champions
Showcase Camps on August 25 and 26, as well as a Fall Instructional League on
Sept. 9-Oct. 21 at Gary Hogan Field.
Players wishing to participate in the showcase camps
will need to choose between the two dates (Aug. 25 or Aug. 26), with each date limited
in its number of participation spots. The showcase camps are intended for
select 2013, 2014 and 2015 high school graduates, and for players who are
serious about playing college baseball. Multiple college coaches will be in
attendance. Campers will be split up into teams and directed to different
stations upon arrival, and will receive instruction and evaluation in multiple
areas, including hitting, position evaluation and defensive mechanics.
The Fall Instruction League provides an opportunity for
high school players to showcase their skills in front of UALR players and
coaches. Each team will be scheduled to play six games, one game each Sunday for
seven consecutive weeks, and a seventh Sunday (Oct. 21) will be designated as
a makeup date in the case of any cancellations due to weather. The first games
will be scheduled for Sunday, September 9. Games will be played all day on
Sunday.
