HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Sophomore Alfred Kerstis is one-over par after two rounds at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate to lead the way for the UALR men's golf team. Playing in the program's first tournament under head coach Chris Greenwood, UALR is tied for 10th place at the 15-team event with a 13-over par 581 total (292-289) at the par-71, 6,882-yard Hattiesburg Country Club.

Kerstis opened with a 72 in the first round on Monday, before firing an even-par 71 over the second 18 holes. The 2012 Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year, Kerstis is currently tied for 17th place at one-over par 143 to pace the Trojans.

Louisiana Tech's Victor Lange leads all players with a seven-under par 135 through two rounds after going 68-67 on the first day. Lange was one of five players to card a four-under par 67 in the second round, including Ole Miss' Blake Morris (70-67) and South Alabama's Michael Garretson (70-67). Morris and Garretson are tied for second place at five-under par 137, followed by USA's Tyler Klava at four-under par 138 (70-68).

Ole Miss sits atop the team standings after 36 holes at three-under par 565 (289-276), thanks in large part to an eight-under par 276 in the second round. The Rebels hold a three-stroke lead over second-place Louisiana-Lafayette (281-287 - 568), with Louisiana Tech (288-282) and Mississippi State (292-278) sharing fourth place at two-over par 570.

Senior Nicklaus Benton is three shots back of Kerstis in 40th place at four-over par 146 (74-72). Junior Nick Zimmerman (76-71) and sophomore Johann Voss (72-75) are tied at five-over par 147, with junior Luis Cedeno (74-75) sitting at seven-over par 149. Zimmerman matched Kerstis for the lowest score of the day by a Trojan with an even-par 71 in the second round.

Tuesday's final round begins with tee times off holes No. 1 and No. 10. Cedeno will be the first Trojan to tee off in the final round, starting off the 10th tee at 9:21 a.m. Live scoring is available at www.Golfstat.com.
