NEW ORLEANS - Competing in her first collegiate competitions this weekend, who knew that freshman Megan Scott would make school history?

Released by the Sun Belt Conference on Wednesday (Oct. 10), Scott garnered the first Diver of the Week honor in UALR history. It was also the initial swimming and diving award from the SBC in 2012-2013.

Scott began her career Friday (Oct. 5) against North Texas, competing on the 1- and 3-meter springboard events. She placed third in both competitions with scores of 219.44 and 205.72, respectively. Against Tulane less than 24 hours later, Scott captured her first title of her collegiate career with a total of 218 off of the 3-meter board. She also placed third on the 1-meter board with a combined score of 192.97 against the Green Wave.

The Trojans return to action Friday, Oct. 26 when they travel to Conway, Ark. for the Hendrix Classic.
