PALM DESERT, Calif. - The UALR men's golf team sits 14th
of 17 teams after two days at the 2013 Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate.
Sophomore Alfred Kerstis and senior Nicklaus Benton led the Trojans with
matching second-round scores of 75 on Saturday.
As a team, the Trojans
sit at 32-over par (608) through the first two days at the Classic Club.
Kerstis is tied for 26th overall at 148 (+3) through two days, while
Benton is next in line for the Trojans at 149 (+4). Sophomores Ben Etchebarne and Colby Benton each sport two-day scores of 158 (+13).
TCU leads the team scores with a two-round tally of 565
(-11), followed by Texas Tech in second with a score of 576 (E), St. Mary's in
third with a score of 578 (+2), San Francisco in fourth with a 579 (+3) and
Oregon State rounds out the top five with a six-over 582 two-round score.

Ewing IV and St. Marys' Jonathan De Los Reye are tied atop the individual
leaderboard with 36-hole scores of 139 (-5). In fourth place is San Francisco's
Cory McElyea who is two strokes behind the leaders with a score of 141 (-3).
Three TCU players in Eli Cole, Paul Barjon and Pontus Gad as well as Texas Tech
individual Matias Dominguez are tied for fifth place with a score of 142 (-2).

Intercollegiate will begin with tee times at 9:20 a.m. on Sunday morning.
