CHOUDRANT, La. - The UALR men's golf team sits in a tie for fifth place after two rounds at the Argent Financial Classic at Squire Creek Country Club. Led by sophomore Alfred Kerstis (73-74), who sits at three-over par through the first two rounds, UALR finished the first day with a team score of 598 (+22).

Sitting in a tie for first place are LSU and North Texas, both of which finished with two-round scores of 574 (-2). Host Louisiana Tech sits alone in third place at 583 (+7) and Texas State is currently in fourth with a two-round team score of 594 (+18).

Kerstis' score of three-over par puts him in a tie for 16^th place amongst all individuals. Sophomore Colby Benton is next in line for UALR, shooting 73 and 76 in his first and second rounds, respectively, to put him in a tie for 23^rd at 149 (+5). Senior Nicklaus Benton sits at 150 (+6) after two rounds, and junior Nick Zimmerman fired back-to-back rounds of 76 for day-one total of 152 (+8). Junior Luis Cedeno rounds out the UALR scoring at 157 (+13) after two rounds of play.

LSU's Andrew Presley sits atop the leaderboard at 136 (-8) after shooting 67 and 69 in his first and second rounds, respectively.

Play at the Argent Financial Classic will resume with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. for the third and final round on Tuesday.
