MCKINNEY, Texas – The UALR men’s golf team sits atop the leaderboard after two rounds at the Jim West Intercollegiate at the par-72, 7,417-yard TPC Craig Ranch on Monday. Sophomore Johann Voss (74-74-148) and senior Nicklaus Benton (72-76-148) lead the Trojans and are tied for eighth overall with two-round totals of four-over par 148.
Junior Nick Zimmerman (76-73-149) is tied for 12th after ending his day at five-over 149, while sophomore Alfred Kerstis fired a one-under 71 in the first round before shooting an eight-over 80 in round two to end the day at seven-over par 151. Sophomore Colby Benton shot 76-75 to sit in a tie for 25th overall with Kerstis at seven-over 151.
UALR (591) sits two shots ahead of No. 36 Vanderbilt (593) after two rounds of competition to lead the 11-team field. Ball State (594) is in third, while UTSA (597) and Oral Roberts (598) round out the top five as teams head into the final round of play on Tuesday.
Northern Illinois’ Bryce Emory leads all individuals at one-under 143 after shooting 71-72 on Monday.
