Soccer Announces Two Weekends of Camp in September

LITTLE ROCK – UALR soccer coach Adrian Blewitt has announced that the Trojans will be hosting two weekends of soccer camp for girls in ninth through 12th grade on two weekends in September.  The camps will take place on Sept. 13-14 and Sept. 20-21.

Interested campers can sign up for one of the two weekends on UALR's website here.

Included in the two-day camp will be a tour of the UALR campus, a question-and-answer session with Coach Blewitt, dinner with the Trojans team, tickets to the UALR game that weekend and two practice sessions  at the Coleman Sports and Recreation Complex. The Trojans will be hosting Louisiana Tech for the first camp session and UAB during the second camp.

Campers will also get to observe the team's pre-game warmup, observe the coach's pre-game meeting with the team and have the chance to swim between training sessions on Saturday.

The cost of camp will be $75 for both days or $50 for only the second day of the camp which includes the practice sessions. Dinner on Friday as well as lunch on Saturday will be provided, and all campers also get a free T-shirt.

The camp accepts checks and cash ONLY. Payment, which must be received seven days before the start of the camp, can be mailed to the following address.

Lodging is not included in the camp. Campers are encouraged to book rooms at the Clarion Inn Hotel near campus. The Clarion Inn is the ONLY hotel UALR will provide pick-up and drop-off service to. Other recommended hotels can be found here.

For campers who are flying into Little Rock, airport pick up will be provided on Thursday after 3 p.m. and before noon on Friday morning. UALR will take all flying campers back to the Little Rock airport after camp has ended. Please be sure to send flight information to coach Blewitt at alblewitt@ualr.edu.

1 p.m.         Camp Check in at the Jack Stephens Center Entrance (Basketball Arena)
1:30 p.m.     Question and Answer with Head Soccer Coach, Adrian Blewitt
2:30 p.m.     Campus tour with admissions staff
4 p.m.          Dinner with the team in the Media Room in the Jack Stephens Center
4:30 p.m.     Observe Pre-Game Meeting with team
6 p.m.          Observe Pre-Game warm up at the Coleman Sports and Recreation Facility
7 p.m.          Watch UALR vs. Louisiana Tech
9 p.m.          Return to hotel

Saturday, September 14th, 2013

10 a.m.        Practice #1 at the Coleman Sports and Recreation Complex
12 p.m.        Lunch and swim at the Clubhouse of the University Village Apartments
2:30 p.m.     Practice session #2 at the Coleman Sports and recreation Complex
4:30 p.m.     End of camp
