SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The relays led the way for UALR on day one of the annual Drury Invite Friday (Nov. 22) as UALR sits in fourth with 175.5 points. The home team leads the invite with 326.5 points.
In the relays competition on the day, the team of freshmen Erin Trumbach and Courtney Coe, sophomore Valeriya Teplova and senior Kara Raney finished third in the 400 medley relay with a time of 4:00.39. The quartet took fifth in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:39.71.
Freshmen Jinson Kang took fourth in the 200 IM, finishing with a time of 2:13.24. Trumbach took eighth with a time of 2:17.60. Sophomore Megan Scott took fourth in the 11-dive 3-meter springboard event with a total of 4:04.30.
Finally, a trio of Trojans finished in the top 10 in the 50 free. Raney took fifth with a season-best time of 24.57. Right behind in seventh was Teplova, who touched the wall in 24.84. Coe finished ninth with a time of 25.06.
UALR returns to action Saturday (Nov. 23) on day two of the Drury Invite.
