LITTLE ROCK – UALR senior Gus Leeper has been named to the 2013-14 National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court for his academic achievements.
To qualify for the NABC Honors Court, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior academically and boast a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the end of the academic year. The student-athlete must also have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
A native of Austin, Texas, Leeper is pursuing a double major in international business and business management and boasts a 3.97 GPA.
Leeper is a member of the UALR Ambassadors Program, which allows the UALR College of Business to pair high achievers with area business leaders while providing networking opportunities. Last summer, he studied abroad in Guadalajara, Mexico, while an internship in the regulatory department at Windstream in Little Rock provided experience with communications administration and policy issues.
Leeper is one of a record 895 student-athletes from 335 colleges and universities to make this year’s NABC Honors Court list.
