NORMAN, Okla. - The UALR Trojans (6-7) fell by a final score of 11-4 to the No. 2-ranked Oklahoma Sooners (15-0) on Friday at L. Dale Mitchell Park. After UALR jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, the Sooners scored 11 straight runs over their final five sets of at-bats to get the win and keep their perfect record intact.

Sean Bignall and Nick Rountree led the Trojan offense as the duo combined for four of the team's five hits. Bignall finished the day with a double and a single to go along with two runs scored, while Rountree homered and singled and drove in three of the Trojans' four runs on the day.

OU's Michael Rocha picked up the win, going 7.0 innings while giving up 3 runs, two of which were earned, on three hits. Garret Graziano was saddled with the loss for the Trojans. The senior allowed five runs on eight hits in 5.1 innings of work.

The Trojans grabbed an early lead after picking up a pair of runs in the top half of the second. After Bignall drew a one-out walk, Rountree hit his first home run of the season to left field to put UALR up 2-0 on the No.2-ranked Sooners.

Bignall's second run of the game in the top of the fourth increased the Trojan lead to three. Following a two-out double, Bignall stole third base and was able to score on an errant throw by the OU catcher, making the score 3-0, UALR.

After the Sooners answered with a run in the bottom half of the fourth to cut the Trojan lead to two, OU added two more runs to tie the game in their next set of at-bats. With the bases loaded following three straight singles by Oklahoma, a two-RBI single by Cameron Seitzer knotted the score at three.

A Max White RBI single in the bottom of the sixth gave the Sooners their first lead of the game. White's single through the left side scored Caleb Bushyhead from third, who drew a walk to leadoff the inning. Two batters later, Garrett Buechele singled up the middle to bring in two more Sooner runs and make the score 6-3, Oklahoma.

A three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth increased OU's lead to six. With runners at second and third, Tyler Ogle hit a 1-2 pitch over the left field fence that made the score 9-3.

After the Sooners added two more runs in the bottom of the eighth, an RBI single by Rountree in the top of the ninth made it 11-4 before OU's Jack Mayfield got Hector Acosta to fly out to center to end the game.
