HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The UALR women’s golf team returns to action Monday morning when it hosts the sixth annual UALR Women's Golf Classic at Diamante CC in Hot Springs, Ark. UALR captured the team title in three of the event's first five years, and will look to prevent Oral Roberts from repeating as tournament champions.
The Golden Eagles claimed last year's team championship with a 903 team score to edge Missouri State by two strokes. FIU's Laura Stempfle earned medalist honors with a three-over par 219 total.
The 19-team event features seven teams ranked in the top-100 nationally by GolfStat.com, led by No. 31 Tulsa. The event is open to the public and will begin with shotgun starts on both mornings.
Results will be posted at www.UALRTrojans.com following the completion of each day's competition.
