SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. - The UALR women's golf team sits in a tie
for fourth place after two rounds at the UALR Women's Golf Classic at Diamante
Country Club on Monday. Oral Roberts leads the 19-team field after firing a
two-round combined score of 20-over par 596 (295-301).
ORU is followed by Tulsa (297-303) and ULM (300-300), both
of which posted combined scores of 600 (+24) on Monday.
UALR shot a 12-over par 300 in the opening round before
posting a 13-over 301 in the second round for a two-round total of 601 (+25).
The Trojans and Middle Tennessee, who also posted a two-round team total of 601,
will head into the final day five shots back of the lead.
Individually, the Trojans were led by Brynn Donovan, who shot a four-over par
148 after posting back-to-back rounds of 74. Donovan currently finds herself in
a tie for 10th with six other players.
Oral Roberts also sports the individual leader after
two rounds. The Golden Eagles' Crystal Reeves leads the field after shooting a
combined score of 143 (73-70) to put her at one-over par through two rounds.
Three players, including Middle Tennessee's Karisa Akin, are one shot back of
the lead.
The tournament will resume with a shotgun start beginning
Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m.
